NICO
PACK LEADER - MIND/BODY/SPIRIT
Hi, my name is Nico, the founder of Wolf Fraternity. Ever since I was a young boy, I loved watching movies or reading books about native American tribes, growing up and falling in love with martial arts and the warrior tribes like the Samurai, Ninja or Shaolin monks. Then loving the stories about Vikings and knights etc.. There is one thing for me that linked them all together but set them apart from the rest of society, was that they lived their lives by a code of conduct, they understood themselves and led by example. They developed discipline and focus but also unity, leadership and love. This was my mindset when I developed the fraternity. Linking my experience and knowledge of martial arts, self-defence, personal training and self-development in order to combine not just another class but a way of viewing your life. Everyone has to walk their own individual journey, but to walk that journey with a tribe of like-minded people makes it a lot easier and a hell of a lot more fun….
BRIAN
PACK MEDICINE MAN - NUTRITION/WELLNESS
Hi there and welcome to the WOLF way of looking at the world. I live here in Crawley with my family, but started out in the highlands of Scotland as a nipper in a small fishing village called Ardersier and then Beauly. So, I grew up loving anything to do with the outdoors such as camping, hunting and fishing. My father was a gamekeeper, albeit a poacher before that so I guess I had some training….:) Climbing and training as an 18 year old drew me into wanting to learn more about our bodies and how they worked. Stints in the TA and the Civil Service pushed me to study at night school. I then studied at Robert Gordons in Aberdeen graduating in Nutrition with emphasis on sports and obesity and then followed that up with a Masters degree in Reading in Food Technology as I loved cooking and the understanding of ingredients and how to use them. I have loved my career in the food industry as a product developer which has taken me straight back into….FISH…☺ as I love it………..From Smoking Salmon in the Highlands to Sockeye Salmon in Alaska, Herring in Northern Norway, Hoki in New Zealand and Tuna in the Maldives and India it has been an adventure. My love of nutrition, making great tasting natural recipies and being a dad here in Crawley is how I met Nico. His vision of how we can confront fear, train our bodies and minds to get beyond our primal coping mechanisms drew me into this as it reminded me of what I did back in the Highlands. I think it is a great idea and will do all that I can to support him with understanding body nutrition, nutrition strategies for all, making great food and providing individual dietary plans and basic bushcraft…..Also promoting FISH…..:)
DEAN
JOURNEYMAN - FITNESS/SUPPORT
Hi! Welcome to the Wolf Fraternity. My name is Dean and I'm the crazy funnyman man of the pack. My background is a well used story - active when I was young in most sports, a promising footballer, came off the rails, got into trouble, grew up, had a family and now finally on track. Dealing with issues has always been a problem for me as by nature, I am a fiery person and often made wrong choices. Finding my way took time and a lot of soul searching. I was never a bad person, who hurt others, but I made poor choices that hurt me. During my journey to where I am now, I found support in family, friends and an unlikely chance meeting with Nico. He showed me that I had the answers, I just had to ask myself the right questions. I work with children and young people, both as my main job and after work, coaching grass roots football. I also have an empathic nature, relating to individuals, listening and helping wherever I can. This is the reason Nico introduced me to the Wolf Pack. He felt that my experience with young people, coupled with my interest in health and fitness could bring additional benefits to the Fraternity. I look forward to spending time with you all , experiencing the camps with you, training with you and having you with me on my journey as well as being a part of yours.
